FYI - I have made this post public now and submitted the links to the post and sign in thread since I am not sure if I will be here before the deadline.  However, KEEP submitting icons until time is up if you can!!!!

Rules:

You basically have to create an icon from the screen cap submitted by the person posting right in front of you.  Then, you have to post your own screen cap so that someone else can create an icon from it and then submit their own screen cap.

You cannot make an icon of your own screen cap.

Screen caps can only be used twice (I have screen caps for all five seasons, every episode, so if you need some, let me know)

All icons must be new and original for this challenge.

All icons will be up for grabs for everyone to take as they please (Credit is a must)

If a pile up happens, points may be deducted.  Meaning points may be deducted if someone claims a screen cap, but then doesn't post an icon and new screen cap, which makes the entire challenge come to a stand still.

Icons must be 100 x 100 pixels and under 40kb in size per LJ restrictions

Points:
+1 point per icon made
+50 points to the team with the most icons
+50 bonus points to the team with the highest rate of participation (aka % of most members participating)

Sign in to the sign in thread below once you've made at least one icon and posted a new screen cap.

Season 1 Summary By 2cbetter2

Leverage begins by introducing us to fout of the series' five main characters. First off is Nathan Ford who we learned was a former insurance investigator. He is approached by Victor Dubenich, the head of Bering Aerospace, who wants him to head a team of three world class thieves to “steal” back his airplane designs from a rival company. He has hired Nate as the honest man to watch the other three because they are thieves and he does not trust them to do the job without supervision, convincing Nate to take the job ultimately as an act of revenge to get back at the insurance company who refiused to pay for the treatment that might have saved the life of his cancer stricken son.

The next introduction is to Alec Hardison, whose expertise is in computer fraud making him the team's hacker. His introdution includes hotel security people visiting the room of Mick Jagger and Return of the Jedi Princess Leia co-players. Then comes Eliot Spencer, who is a retrieval specialist/hitter whose introduction shows him calmly sipping tea from a mug in the midst of a room of gun totting mobsters who are holding the baseball card he has been sent to retrieve. We do not get to see the actual fight other that gunflashes from outside the building because we they show the insides of the room, Eliot is again sipping his tea but this team in the midst of clobbered mobsters whose leader surrendered the card he was sent for! Last of the immediate introductions is to Parker, a world class thief who we see as a little girl in a foster home where her foster father has taken away her prized Bunny telling her she does not get Bunny until he says she does. He end telling her to either be a good girl or a better thief, and then in the next scene we see Parker stop outside, hugging Bunny tightly after the house explodes!

The job with the four goes off with only a few hitches but each display their talents, including Nate who pulls them together like a mastemind would when they all start bickering after their exit from the building is apparently lost. The four of them spend togther as little time as possible, just long enough for Hardison to email Dubenich the plans before they disperse, promising to forget each other's names. That however is something that doesn't last long after Dubenich contacts Nate saying he never got the plans and sends him an address telling him to be there at a certain time. Nate goes, finds three very angry thieves he used to chase, and realizes they've been set up to be killed. They all escape an explosion, wake up being held at a hospital by police and they must work together again to escape.

The final member of the team is introduced in a hilarious fashion when they decide they want revenge but can't approach Dubenich since he knows their faces. Sophie Devereaux's introduction is a scene of her butchering a scene from MacBeth so badly that even crazy Parker asks is she injured in the head. Nate is confident in his choice, and it's during this moment when meets with her afterwards outside the theater to ask her to join them that we learn there's possibly more to his relationship with Sophie than simply chasing her as part of his former job. After asking Nate if he's playing her side now, and noting she always thought he had it in him when he answers yes, she agrees to join their con.

With Sophie's help the con to repay Dubenich and in turn get the money he owed them all is successful with him on a one way ticket to prison. The episode ends with the four of them trying to convince nate they should stay together with him picking the jobs as to what they'll do next. The next time we see the five of them they're in a meeting with the grieving parents of a 17 year old girl who died because of something a company did. “People like that, corporations like that, they have all the money. They have all the power and they use it to make people like you go away. Right now you're suffering under an enormous weight. We provide.... leverage.”

The rest of the season is filled with cons and sometimes missteps as these former loners all learn to trust each other and come together as a team. Along the way they help many people get their own justice, and the season ends with the team coming together to help Nate get revenge against the man who let his son die rather than pay for his treatment. The final two episodes of the season see the return of James Sterling who we met earlier in the season, and we are introduced to Nate's ex-wife Maggie, who finally learns a terrible secret truth Nate has been carrying around about the death of their son. But once the takedown of Blackpoole is complete will the team stay together or scatter to the four corners of the Earth, returning again to their former way of doing things and working alone?

Season 2 Summary By thiefjuice

After the team has dispersed at the end of the last season, Nate goes to Boston in an attempt to go back to his old life, but he instead finds a girl and her father in need of his help. Meanwhile, Sophie invites the team to the premiere of The Sound of Music in an attempt to get the team back together. Despite Nate's best efforts, the team gets involved with the case Nate had stumbled upon, and they soon are back to their old ways. They encounter new and different marks, like a hedge fund mnager who preys on Armernians, a Nancy Grace like newscaster who builds her cases against innocent people using lies, and a food company executive who puts people's lives in danger to protect his company. Things change drastically when the crew goes up against another crew and Sophie's life is put in danger. This causes her to realize that she needs to find herself, and she leaves the team while she goes across the world. When the team attempts to run a con without a grifter, things go terribly awry, though the team does manage to come through in the end. However, Sophie soon realizes they need backup and sends an old friend over, Tara Cole. Tara joins the team, though she doesn't really understand how they work and her and Nate clash often. They encounter an Irish loan shark that threatens to take over McRory's, a fake psychic, and Nate's ex-wife, who is accused of stealing an extremely valuable object from a museum. At the end of the season, they get involved in a case that has far more consequences they could've ever imagined: Nate under arrest and finally accepting what he is: a thief.

Season 3 Summary By mystizan

Season 3 opens with the team having attracted the attention of an external entity, represented by The Italian, which wants them to use their considerable skills to deliver Damien Moreau in exchange for expunging Nate’s conviction. Understandably, the team chafes at having to answer to someone other than themselves. Also understandably, they are justifiably terrified at going up against the ruthless financier of the crime underworld. This is also the first time a serious con has been run on the team itself (the first episode showcases how The Italian manipulates the prison warden to bring Nate to his attention and positions herself to make the team’s con in that episode harder to execute). By this season, the team has gelled into an indivisible unit: no matter what the obstacle the solution always involves them working together and staying together instead of splitting up. As the season progresses there are lots of relationship developments: Nate and Sophie make several strides forward in their relationship to the point where he learns her real name, Eliot bonds with Hardison in a way that brings them closer together while increasing the level of respect between them and their willingness to step into each other’s worlds, Parker realises that she has non-platonic feelings for Hardison and she stops pretending to make out with him, Eliot passes on his opportunity to get revenge on Nate for conning the team, Parker chooses to do the right thing even though it’s costly for the first time and Eliot reveals just how far he is willing to go to keep his team safe. This season also gives us more backstory for Eliot, Sophie and Nate. By the end of the season, the team has pulled off what even The Italian deemed impossible: brought down Damien Moreau.

Season 4 Summary By mystizan

Season 4 is all about consequences. The team has made many enemies in their little enterprise that is leveraging their combined skills for good. It takes them a while, therefore, to find out who planted bugs in Nate’s apartment. Taking down bad guys means that Nate is constantly looking into the darkness in people’s souls so that he can decide how to take them down. The consequence of this is a sort of recklessness and callousness in him, particularly in the beginning of the season. Sophie and Nate try to hide their burgeoning relationship from their kids (Eliot, Parker and Hardison) which could have interfered with at least one con. Parker develops more confidence in her ability to have normal social interactions and her ability to grift. She also comes face to face with the natural consequence of loving someone: you eventually have to choose either to protect your heart or to keep loving them wholeheartedly while living with the risk of losing them. Eliot grows to accept Hardison’s place in his life and treats him more like a brother. Hardison gets to test his wings as a Mastermind, an experience which allows him a certain amount of insight into Nate’s mental state and the cost of leading the team. Parker and Sophie’s kinship deepens...by the end of this season their relationship is much like the one one would find between close sisters. In season 1, these five people were very much individuals. As time progressed they became a crew, then a team. They unquestioningly rely on each other to pull off each new con because they have years of experience that teaches them that their team will come through for them. Season four, however, is the first time the team demonstrates that they are now more of a family than a team. As a result, they do not only expect to be called upon when there is a job, they also expect to be called upon if any member of their family has a personal problem, a direct consequence of their shared history, their unity and the love that they have for each other.
